Does everything have to be so hard? Some of the things that make me smile the most are things that came the easiest. It was natural. It doesn’t have to be hard to be good. People act like everything has to be so damn hard.
sorry. I’m kind of drunk right now. I’m typing this on a Friday night. I had a little bit of margarita. I watched a movie (listed below) while knitting and then watched Ellie Goulding concerts for a couple of hours. Does it get any better than that? Okay, I would rather there be a beach involved but other than that….heaven.
66 days until Las Vegas….hopefully. Woe is me.
I’m looking forward to work next week. I can’t say why exactly. I’m not looking forward to the job interview on Tuesday.
D: Are you excited about the job interview?
Me: (looking at her like she’s nuts): NO!
It occurred to me that some people are excited for jobs interviews, because they think they might actually get the job. What a concept! How funny is that? Job interviews are like torture to me. I’m NEVER looking forward to them. I am going to be prepared as I can be, of course. I’m still very worried that the part-time temp job might interfere with the job interview. Wouldn’t that suck? I would hate to cancel the job interview. Please don’t let it come to that.
About the temporary job, I haven’t heard back. I expect to hear something on Monday. I hope I can get the gig without an interview. That would be awesome.
Music for the week: Ellie Goulding, Lucy Hale, Lauren Alaina, Ed Sheeran, Mary J. Blige, Heather Nova, Emm Gryner, Miranda Lambert
90% Ellie. It is so good to be excited about an artist again and not just an album. I don’t care what else is released in 2014. Just give me Ellie on repeat, please. I still can’t believe I like her. I really hated her sound a few years back. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about and now I’m a fan. Unbelievable.
TV for the week: Big Brother, The Fosters
Movie of the week: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Loved the characters. I want to read the book in a year or so after I forget some of what happened.
Books of the week:
Delirium by Lauren Oliver (It is so good to read fiction and enjoy it. I miss those days.)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (reading it again…obvs.)
Knitting projects of the week: I ripped out my shawl and started over again. What else is new? I just worked on my shawl and scarf this week. No need for pics cause there wasn’t much progress. I can’t wait to finish that damn scarf
so I can start another.
I spaced and forgot I was supposed to mow the lawn this weekend. I’ll do it tomorrow, if it doesn’t rain. Today I’m going to work on interview answers. I have even forgotten the basics like “Tell me about yourself”. Boy, do I hate that one and every other question. lol
